Red Stripe

Name:  Desnoes & Geddes Limited - Red Stripe Jamaican Lager

Style:  American Adjunct Lager
ABV:  4.70%
BeerAdvocate Link:  http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/221/689

My Rating (1–5):  3

Tasting Comments:  Golden color with a tall, persistent, rocky white head. Smells of grainy pale malt, a little earthy hops, and a slight metallic tinge. The taste is slightly sweet pale malt, definite cereal adjunct, and some earthy hops.

Notes:  Hooray Beer!! Kinda...they brew this in Latrobe now, so it's about as Jamaican as the Carribean Jerk sauce at BDubs. It's just a typical adjunct lager, maybe with just a bit more bitterness than a Budwesier, but not really very different. There's nothing terrible about it, but it's not going to get a beer snob excited, either.
